How Much Is Too Much?

Over the years we have been taught that the average millionaire has 7 streams of income. With today's trends and lifestyle demands, multiple streams of income has almost no longer become an option but a neccessity. So in a world where one job or business venture no longer suffices, how much is too much?

Well here are a few questions we can ask ourselves:

1. Am I happy doing it?

2. Does it actually make me any money? Or can I honestly see my potential to?

3. What does this demand from me?

4. How much time to I have to commit to this? And do I can actually have it? Or can I make it available?

5. What could I lose doing this? Am I willing to risk it?

6. Do I often feel stressed, anxious and/or overwhelmed?

7. Am I productive? Am I actually getting things done?

8. Is there any relation between the things that I am doing? Or are they abstract?

9. Do these things require that I learn several things at one time, none of which are related?

10. Are your relationships suffering because of this?

If you answered yes to 7 or more of these questions, you are most probably doing too much.

While it is true that entrepreneurship, and success on the whole requires a tonne of sacrifices. Laboring in vain is not one of them. It is generally a bad idea to be a novice in several areas at once. The wise thing to do would be to start a venture after successfully launching one. More so, if they are unrelated. Every business venture requires a certain level of research, commitment, skill sets, training, resources and time. Having multiple streams is great! But give each of these babies the attention and care they deserve or you will not bare any fruit.
